Description

Already have your study materials to prepare for the HR Certification exams? Have you decided to prepare on your own without a prep course? That is a great option for some individuals. But some of you may want a bit more!

Join us for 6 live sessions that cover the follow topics:

  • Saturday, May 22, 10:30 am CT: Unit 1 Business Management/Leadership and Strategy
  • Saturday, May 29, 10:30 am CT: Unit 2 Talent Planning and Acquisition
  • Saturday, June 5, 10:30 am CT: Unit 3 Learning and Development
  • Saturday, June 12, 10:30 am CT: Unit 4 Total Rewards
  • Thursday, June 17, 6:30 pm CT: Test-taking Strategies
  • Saturday, June 26 10:30 am CT: Unit 5 Employee and Labor Relations/Employee Engagement

Our instructors will spend approximately 90-minutes per session giving participants an overview of the MOST important topics in each of the exam content areas, and participants will have an opportunity to interact and ask questions.

Approximately 24 hours after the live session, participants will receive an email with the link to the recording to review at any time, along with the notes version of the presenter slide deck.

Anthony P. Howard is an HR Leader who works with HR professionals at all levels in finding the value and pathway to certification. He believes through the power of certification, you can increase your confidence, marketability and value.

 
Anthony has an 18 year history of progressive success piloting large-scale, global initiatives driving organizational change and attainment of goals in diverse environments including from highly regulated FDA medical devices industry to unionized environments. Some of his most notable accomplishments include: 
  • Development. implementation, execution and ongoing administration of comprehensive Global Talent Management Programs (Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Review, Merit Planning)  including technology.
  • Leading global integration efforts, including due diligence and first day activities.  
  • Successfully lead union avoidance efforts for a large plant whose employees were targeted by a direct mail campaign 
  • Creation and leadership of HR Shared Services organization
Anthony has incorporated passion for the learning and development of others into his entire career. He is the founder of HR Certified, LLC and through partnership with National Association of African Americans in Human Resources of Atlanta, has served as the Principal HR Instructor where is consistently fills up his in person classes! He has held HR Certification since 2009 and currently holds both the SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations.

Amy Gomez is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR & SHRM-SCP) and achieved those credentials by sitting for the exams in 2020 and 2019. Amy has taught HR test preparation courses both in-person and virtually. 
 
During her career she has worked for Fortune 200 and medium sized companies in the hospitality and service industries. She is currently the Director of Human Resources for a fast-growing customer focused retail company. 
 
Amy holds a BS in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources and International Business.
 
Amy looks forward to helping other HR Professionals acheive their professional credentials!


Mark Ewing, PHR's Profile

Mark Ewing, PHR Related seminars and products


Mark Ewing is a high school math teacher turned Human Resources professional. His first experience in HR was as Executive Director at a nonprofit outdoor camp and retreat center, where he discovered his love for people and development were a natural fit in this new industry. Since then, he has served as Recruitment & Training Manager and Staffing Director for youth and service-oriented nonprofits in Oklahoma and Colorado. Mark and his wife Debbie were classmates at Chandler High School in Arizona and have five grown kids living in Illinois, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas…and a 2-month-old grandson in Texas. Mark and Debbie are both professional recruiters and live in northern Colorado.

Mark’s favorite things are mountain sports, church and volunteer work, and domestic (all 50 states!) and international travel.
