This unique online video test preparation workshop provides in-depth study of key areas in human resource management. The course will cover content necessary to obtain your PHR® and/or SPHR® and will cover the following areas: Business Management, Leadership & Strategy, Talent Planning & Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee and Labor Relations, Employee Relations and Engagement and Total Rewards.
This course opens with a 1-hour informational session and introduction. Followed by 12, 3-hour sessions (one per week for 12 weeks). The course will conclude with a live review session. We've partnered with HRCP to provide our participants the best HR Certification Test Preparation materials, flashcards, and online quizzes and tests. Throughout the course, you will be invited to participate in live forums and interact with fellow participants, as well as your expert instructors. This interactive course replicates the full classroom experience from the comfort of your home or office.

Cari is an Army Veteran, Author and Certified Human Resources Professional. Her strength lies in her ability to provide HR professionals with the tools they need to become thought leaders.

 

Cari works diligently to equip human resources professionals with the knowledge and confidence they need to ace their certification exams and excel in their careers. Her background spans over the last 12 years specializing in career coaching, talent management, recruiting and training and development. Currently she is a Global Human Resource Business Partner for a Fortune 500 company where advises senior leaders on people and strategy. Some of her more prominent responsibilities include:

  • Operationalizing global and business-specific HR strategies for 2200+ employee population across 15 countries
  • Partnering closely with Finance and Business Operations acting as a consultant for Labor Trends and Forecasting.
  • Contributing to and leading the administration of the worldwide assessment survey to measure and solution organizational change on employee engagement, business strategies, and HR programs and initiatives

 

In addition to her role as a Strategic HR Business Partner, Cari is also the founder of HR Defined, LLC where she acts as the Lead Facilitator for PHR/SPHR prep courses in the city of Houston. She is the author of “Things you didn’t learn in school”. A collection of unfiltered tips to help early career professionals successfully navigate the workplace and her work has been featured in several publications such as LinkedIn, Vunela and The Muse.

Anthony P. Howard is an HR Leader who works with HR professionals at all levels in finding the value and pathway to certification. He believes that you can increase your confidence, marketability, and value through the power of certification.

Anthony is an experienced strategic HR Business Partner with a 20+ year history of progressive success piloting large-scale, global initiatives driving organizational change and goals in diverse environments from highly regulated FDA medical devices & biotech industries to unionized manufacturing environments.

His most notable accomplishments include developing, implementing, executing, and ongoing administration of comprehensive and inclusive Global Talent Management Programs (Leadership Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Review, Merit Planning), including technology (ADP WorkforceNow, SAP SuccessFactors). He has led global integration efforts, including due diligence and first-day activities. He successfully led a union avoidance effort for a large plant whose employees were targeted by a direct mail campaign. He also created and led an HR Shared Services organization.

He also has led positive culture shifts with his contributions to and through DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives. He co-led the formation of corporate-wide ERG (Employee Resource Group) initiatives and has been pegged to speak on the topic on webinars, panel discussions, and online courses.

Anthony has incorporated a passion for the learning and development of others into his entire career. He is the founder of HR Certified, LLC. He has held HR Certification since 2009 and currently holds both the SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations. Additionally, he has earned the Leadership Development & Succession Strategist (LDSS) designation from Human Capital Institute (HCI).
